GASTRÄ°C BALLOON

This method is a outpatient procedure. There is no need for hospitalization. It is applied endoscopically under general anesthesia. In this process, a special balloon is placed inside the stomach, afterwards this balloon is inflated with water. The purpose of the stomach balloon application is to reduce the volume of the stomach consequently reducing amount of food intake. It is used to obtain weight loss in patients who are not overweight to require surgery, in morbidly obese people who do not prefer operation, or for providing weight loss before operation in overweight patients who are scheduled for morbid obesity surgery. Although it is more effective method than stomach botox, its effectiveness is not much as surgical methods.
